A resident of Saint-Sauveur since 1964. Where she began her professional career, Linda Crutchfield has been inducted into 7 Halls of Fame in 3 sports: downhill skiing, water skiing and luge. Her athletic career spans 17 years and 3 national teams; downhill skiing (1959-1965), water skiing (1965-1975), and luge (1967-1969). She competed in 5 Olympic Games and 7 World Championships. From 1960 to 1975 she brought home 22 gold medals from various Canadian championships in the 3 sports. In the European circuit she won a second and a third in downhill. From 1964 to 1983, she ran 6 ski schools including Mont Saint-Sauveur, developping weekend programs for 800 skiers and 4 programs exclusively for racers. A member of the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance since 1964 and a Level IV examiner from 1971, she also was a coach for the Burke Mountain Academy in the US. She has been on the Board of the Laurentian Ski Museum since 1985, and was president from 2002 to 2005.
