Laurentian Ski Hall of Fame – LSM
The Gill family of Morin-Heights, led by Brian and Dena with Jamey, Jesse, Scott, and Haley, holds a unique place in the history of the Canadian Ski Marathon. Together, the six family members have achieved a remarkable feat: more than 117 completions of the “Coureur des Bois Gold”, the most demanding category of the Marathon. This challenge requires skiing 160 km over two days in complete autonomy, including an overnight outdoors under the stars. Dena and Brian have, through their passion, introduced countless people to cross-country skiing and to the Canadian Ski Marathon, legendary event inspired by the life of Jackrabbit. The Gills embody a lasting commitment to Nordic skiing.
