Ski Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

October 25th 2025,

Main Pavilion, Sommet Saint-Sauveur

The Ski Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is an annual event that raises funds to support the mission of the Laurentian Ski Museum. The evening takes the form of a cocktail reception, providing an opportunity to meet and chat with prominent figures from the skiing world.

This year’s theme is Tribute to Jackrabbit Johannsen’s 150th birthday and Nordic skiing.

During the evening, we will pay tribute to Herman Jackrabbit Smith-Johannsen, a Canadian-Norwegian and the father of skiing in Canada, who would have turned 150 this year. We will also induct the following individuals:

  • Alex Harvey – Canada’s most decorated cross-country skier in World Cup competition.
  • The Fondeurs Laurentides Club – Celebrating 50 years of developing athletes at all levels.
  • Cendrine Browne – National and international cross-country skier.
  • The Gill family of Morin Heights – Having completed an impressive total of 117 Gold Coureurs des Bois at the Canadian Ski Marathon, each skiing 160 km in two days while sleeping under the stars on Saturday night.

We are also delighted to have Pierre Harvey, Canadian cross-country skiing legend and first Canadian winner of a World Cup, as our honorary president.
