Born in Switzerland, Josianne Legault immigrated to Canada in 1968. Having been a member of the Swiss National Alpine Ski Team, she began a skiing career in Canada. Legault, a Level 4 Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance instructor and Level 3 coach from Canadian Ski Coaches Federation, became, in 1972, a ski school director at Hills 40-80 in Sainte-Adele then in 1973 director of the Mont-Olympia ski school. From 1977 to 1980, she was head coach of the Mont-Saint-Sauveur ski team. 1981 saw the opening of a brand new ski area, Ski Morin-Heights where she became its first ski school director. In 1985 she moved to Chantecler where she still to this date runs the ski school.
