At 17 years old, she is on most of the podiums for provincial circuits and made a good impression  in the National and North-American races.

Annie started skiing at 2 years old at Vallée Bleue. She started competing at 9 as a member of the Laurentian Zone Team where she stayed until she turned 15. At 16, she joined the Quebec team. At 17, she climbed most of the podiums of the provincial circuit and made a name for herself at the National and North American races. She finally obtained a place in the National Development Team and participated, the following year in the European Cup. For her first participation in the World Cup events, she finished 37th. In 1992, she became Canadian champion in slalom. The same year she took part in the Olympics in Albertville where she finished 25th.
