Founded in 1944 at first as a social club, the Nordik Ski Club turned quickly towards competition. It became one of the most powerful competition clubs in Canada. With the rising of competition interest in the club, a professional trainer, Fernand Trottier, was hired. He was a wonderful alpine trainer. His talent and patience succeeded in producing great racers, attracting Olympic skiers and members of the National FIS teams.
