Michel Duranceau is one of Canada’s most decorated disabled skiers. He won more than 18 medals at the National level, five at the International level, was four times Canadian champion in three different disciplines and participated in the Calgary Olympic Games of 1988. His proudest achievement is a bronze medal at the Paralympics in Innsbruck in 1982. Three times he was chosen “Disabled Athlete of the Year” by Ski Quebec in 1986, 1987 and 1988. His strength of character, perseverance and success are an inspiration for all who face unexpected challenges in their lives.
