Gault Kerr-Gillespie was a brilliant and courageous cross-country skier, winner, in the 30s and 40s, of many championships of the Laurentian Ski Zone. He was a member of the Canadian Olympic Team in 1936 but did not participate in the German Olympic that were cancelled because of World War II. That same year, he won 5 gold medals in various Canadian competitions. Also he was an official for the World Cup at Lake Placid in 1980.
