At one time, the biggest retailer and importer of cross-country and alpine sk equipment in North-America.
Inducted in 1997

Jim Quarles was a member of the Bishops University Ski Team then member of the National Ski Team before becoming the biggest retailer of cross-country and alpine skis in North America. A dedicated alpine skier, he slowly converted to cross-country and became a huge fan! He participated in the Canadian Ski Marathon over 20 times, winning the “Coureur des bois” silver medal and the Veterans’ Trophy. He also won many cross-country races in the “over-60” category, among others, the Trans-Laurentian Loppet, the Peter Austin Classic, the winter triathlon of Mont-Tremblant and the ski Festival of Mont-Tremblant.
