In the 60s Bernard Brazeau collected ski artifacts. His collection became more important in 1980 when the idea of a museum took the form of a “Research Group on skiing in the laurentians”. He was joined then by Jacques Beauchamp-Forget, Professor, Historian and member of the “Société d’histoire et de généalogie des Laurentides”. Fernand Trottier, skier, coach and owner of a ski shop in Saint-Sauveur completed the trio of founders of the future museum that opened 2 years later.
