Winner of 7 Canadian championships and many other Alpine ski competions. Elected female athlete par excellence in Canada.
Inducted in 2008

Josée Lacasse rapidly climbed through the levels of competition to reach the National Team. Her career highlights include 7 Canadian Championships. She earned a 3rd place finish in slalom in 1988 and a 5th place at the World Cup finals in 1989. 1988 sees the Olympics come to Calgary, she finishes 16th in slalom and 11th in giant slalom. She closed out her career in 1991 with a gold medal in slalom at the World University Games in Sapporo. In 2008, she coached ski racing at Diamond Peak resort (Nevada) and ran a summer ski racing camp at Mount Hood (Oregon).
