Réal Charrette started skiing in 1930 in the Laurentians. He was a pioneer. During the Second World War, he was a lieutenant and a ski instructor for the canadian and scottish troupes. He was the 1st level IV ski instructor of the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA). He was also a president and chief examiner for the CSIA for 32 years. He was the director of the Snow Eagle Ski School of the Gray Rocks Inn at Saint-Jovite for many years.
